Tastes like muddy, scalding water, The only one I like is the bottled frappuccino Starbucks sells in stores, and even that one I don't NEED to have.

Never liked the hot stuff.
Every once in awhile I will have a cold Java Monster. Irish blend or mean bean.

I like cheap and cheerful coffee and usually avoid snobby coffee.

If you add some sugar and real dairy creamer, even the dog will beg for a taste.

I like cheap and cheerful coffee and usually avoid snobby coffee. Can you drink coffee and still be British? I thought they ripped up your Brit card if you drank anything but tea. I love tea BTW. I drink coffee in the morning but then I love loose leaf tea. I have a really nice cast iron tea pot, and yixing clay pot for my Oolong.

Catman loathes the stuff, but since Catwoman enjoys her morning cup of brew, Catman makes her a mug of coffee every day.

It used to be a trendy thing (see the opening credits for The Ipcress File) but almost everyone drinks it now. When it come to tea I like Yorkshire Tea.

I'm of the age group where when we were in our teens and 20's, nobody drank coffee. This was before Starbucks. Everyone drank some type of sugary soda. Only "old people" drank coffee.
But I myself have always loved coffee, drank it as a child, and hated soft drinks.
So I feel vindicated that coffee became trendy and almost everyone drinks it now.
Quite frankly, when I find someone who hates coffee, they're always of that generation, my generation, who never developed sophisticated taste buds and still loves their sugary Pepsi. Yuck.
Grow up!

I love coffee, but I don't get the adoration over Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, and other takeout brands-they're generally sour and watery. My favorite is Colombian coffee from a can (Folgers, Maxwell House, Chock Full of Nuts), powdered creamer (no Half and Half), made in my Mr. Coffee coffeemaker at home.

Leary's comment about "coffee flavored coffee" reminds me of a story I previously posted in the Customer Service thread: I had a memorably bad customer service experience at an airport Starbucks. I had experienced flight delays, it was late and I was tired. I ordered my usual, plain black coffee, no sugar. When I gave my order, the Starbucks employee repeated it back to me, and then said, "Boring!" Prior to that, I had been planning to order a muffin as well, but decided to not to give them any more of my money than was absolutely necessary.

You should get a little grinder and experiment with whole coffee beans, freshly ground. After I started doing that I couldn't even tolerate canned coffee anymore! There's a world of difference.
