Oh man, both Moneyball and The Big Short had a self-satisfaction I didn't care for. But I have faith Lord and Miller can make anything work (including a version of Solo that's not a forgettable waste of time). None of their movies should have been as good as they were.

I wanted to like The Big Short and I like the acting in it but it seemed too smug for its own good.
