Orson Welles has said that he would have sold his soul to have played Vito in the first film. Wonder what that would have been like?
I think Welles could have pulled off the look for sure, not sure how he would have done pulling off the Italian.

Hard to really know what Welles would have done with the role.
Maybe a cross between Hank Quinlan and Big Daddy, with a whiff of Falstaff.
