I couldn't make it past the first 10 minutes it was so unbearably corny.
I didn't know it was just the cast getting together. I thought it was going to be the actual characters seeing each other again.
The problem with a special like this is that you don't know how much of it is acting and how much is actual genuine reaction. You can bet that the writers asked the actors to be all super emotional when walking onto the old set.

I thought it was going to be the actual characters seeing each other again. It is not? I always assumed that it was about Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe getting together 15 years after we last saw them - not about Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow reminiscing about the good old days. I have no interest in that!

I don't think I ever watched a full episode of Friends (or White Friends, as some of us called it).
But with all the hoopla and aggressive advertising around this reunion, I did catch a few minutes of preview clips on Youtube (since it was on the front page for a few days).
Damn, a lot of them look horrible. They have not been aging well (Matt LeBlanc). The only one that still looks fantastic is Jennifer Aniston. (OK, I admit that I used to have a bit of a crush on her--but still, she does look much better than the rest of that cast. They almost make it look like the 90s was 50 years ago.)

Oh, you're not the first person to point the lack of diversity out. I think Feologild Oakes reacted that way because you seemed to reduce the entire show to that 1 flaw. And it's odd coming from someone who hasn't even it.

Correct Also if these people really had a problem with the lack of diversity they would also complain about The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Family Matters. Of course it would be stupid to complain about these shows to, there is nothing wrong with having a show where the masjorty of the cast is one race being it black people or white people or Indians or Chinese people or Latin-Americans.

Any article that says something is problematic I know is gonna be BULLSHIT. I can think of tons of shows that are actually problematic.

Mmm no it really isn’t, but whatever helps you sleep at night. Mmm, I wasn't talking to you, but whatever helps you sleep at night. Just give it up Vits. When you can’t come up with something smart when you get called out for your stupidity, you move away from the subject. I could probably look past this if you didn’t do it every time you disagreed on something, but the truth is you do. If Friends is problematic then so are all the black shows. These people who keep saying this shit are just looking for attention. Their argument holds no water. It’s why I say everyone needs to ignore Twitter and those articles. You could easily say “well people became more sensitive”. If you are that sensitive then you need to get out more or you need help.

Most of the cast members were in their mid-to-late 20's when they first started the show. I think Kudrow and Cox were the only ones who were 30 when it started.

Putting aside the fact that it's not systemic racism when it happens to white people, FRIENDS wasn't criticized for not having P.O.C. in the main cast. It was criticized for only having P.O.C. guest roles on occasion (and only 3 were love interests). The shows you listed did have plenty of white guest roles. Even if they didn't have, they were sitcoms focused mainly on families and their inner dynamics. Most FRIENDS episodes revolved around dates and work. The 6 of them were constantly meeting new people outside their circle. It's not just a matter of giving minorities job opportunities; it's a matter of not being a realistic portrayal of New York (even during that time period). What part of "I'm not talking to you" didn't you get?

And it's odd coming from someone who hasn't even it. I didn't say I hadn't seen any of it. I said I don't think I ever saw a full episode. The bit I saw of it left me without any desire to watch more.
