James Gunn: I guess he’s going to be the one to die in part 3.

I really liked GotG as a fun & fresh lively MCU jaunt, yet GotG2 not as much because I'm not that interested in them.

Althought I still liked it, even I didn't enjoy the second one as much as the first one. But it certainly had moments that made me laugh. Plus I would like to see James Gunn complete a trilogy.

I'd watch that show on Disney+. Don’t think it won’t happen! Disney is gonna keep spamming us with shows for the duration.

I like how he blames the company and not the guy who wrote both films and had input into the characters use in the Avengers movies, probably because he knows Disney is likely done with him after GOTG 3 where as he already tied his wagon to Gunn and doesn't want to piss him off by calling him out, but he isn't wrong they left a lot on the table with the character.

Yup. Pretty sure it wasn't Disney's choice to make him the comedic relief of the GOTG. Doubt it was Fiege's idea either. Why not blame the director who seemed directly responsible for directing his character to be like that? If it makes him feel better, James Gunn did Mantis even dirtier than he did Drax.

I haven't even watched GotG 2 and I nearly walked out of the theatres during INFINITY WAR, so going by what I've heard and what I vaguely recall from I.W., I'd say they pretty much made Drax purely comic relief. At times, I feel like Rocket doesn't fair much better, sadly. Original Groot, Rocket, Drax, and Gamora were the best parts of the first movie.

Was there something about the Infinity war trailers prior that told you to come into a cinema to make a fool yourself in front of strangers because you didn't read the plot before.

Still though why did you nearly? Again, this comes back to someone going to a place to waste time watching a movie they don't like. Why? I don't know but there should be a prison for such obvious trolls.

I don't know if Batista means what I mean, but yes, he's absolutely right. Did you all know that Drax main storyline is that he's the guy that was destined to kill Thanos? And that he was supposed to be a highly super powered being on the level of being able to do direct combat with Thanos? Instead he got his ass kicked by Ronan?! Probably didn't know that. And now you never will. Because the buffoonish comic relief character he's become has even taken in the comics! Which is okay. I like MCU Drax as he is, just fine. He's fun as a character, and I like Batista. But he could/should have have been so much more.

Goodness knows they've watched movies with me that weren't to their taste. I'm sorry that it never occurred to you that people might be courteous to the person they attend a film with. I will agree, no one should feel the need to waste their time, and since my partner was enjoying the movie and I like seeing them happy, I don't feel I wasted my time despite disliking the movie.

Was there something about the Infinity war trailers prior that told you to come into a cinema to make a fool yourself in front of strangers because you didn't read the plot before. We flipped a coin about what movie we were seeing, and I lost. Date night meant we were seeing a movie, getting dinner, and then going for a drive, and considering how many movies I've won the coin toss on in the past that weren't my partner's cup of tea but I heard no complaints, I wasn't about to be the jerk who didn't hold up my end of a coin toss bargain. And as far as trailers went, I hadn't watched any. When I heard Loki was going to get killed off and that Vision was going to have a fairly big role, I lost what little interest I had left after CIVIL WAR. PS: Your tone sounds very angry. Have you considered deep breaths? Chamomile tea? Prolonged anger is bad for the body, makes you create a lot of stress hormone, which wrecks havoc on your body. I'll say a prayer for you tonight that you can smile more often (smiling is very good for a body and the soul).

That might win you points in the race for boyfriend or girlfriend of the year I'm sure but to me it makes you look like an insufferable simp.

If you're in a relationship where both of you have to force each other to watch the other's favourite films then it's not a relationship worth having. Be there if the girlfriend wants a child and don't make it a full time thing. I don't want to read through some overly eager to please or reciprocate lover's whinefests.
