However for anyone that has seen it, one question. Did they keep the same line that goes '...where no One has gone before.' Or did they go back to what they said in the first star trek which was, '...where no Man has gone before'.

If I am remembering correctly, and I think I am, there are no words in the opening credits. It's just instrumental music.

There are no words spoken in the opening credits... But I can't remember if that phrase has been spoken in any of the episodes so far or not... So, I am not sure. As I recall... DS9 never had it, and neither did Voyager... Just remember, this show isn't about an Enterprise exploring the Galaxy on a Five Year mission, searching for new life... This show is about the USS Discovery... which uses an experimental (Faster Than Warp Speed) Spore Drive... in missions involving: a Federation/Klingon War, and in solving the mysterious appearances of the Red Angel throughout the Galaxy.

You're not missing much. Effects and production design are solid, but the writing is mediocre at best. Sonequa Martin-Green is not a terribly compelling lead either.

I've only seen the first three episodes. I was not impressed with the first two. I thought the third one was an improvement, but still not great.

I've only seen the first three episodes. I was not impressed with the first two. I thought the third one was an improvement, but still not great. This show is a weird one... Unlike the other Trek Series, which had a two hour pilot story to set up everything for the show... and that was it... The set up for Discovery, actually takes place over several episodes. Even the first couple of episodes, don't even take place on the USS Discovery... The large back story, requires fans to watch about a half dozen episodes, before everything settles in. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad... But it seems that this is a turn off for most long time trek fans, and they stop watching early on... Like You Did. If not trying to say, that this show is great, and that it doesn't have it's flaws... That up to each viewer to decide. But, yeah, I too wasn't sure if I was going to like it, due to the slow pacing of setting things up. Try giving it another chance and watch a few more episodes... I think the Second half of the first season, and the second season are worth watching... once you get to it.

mstreepsucks , I'm doing a Discovery re-watch now... And Harry Mudd just said: " The Moment You Decided To Boldly Go Where No ONE Had Gone Before."
