Because of course i am not a person that likes his 'music' if you could even call it that(because i have a sophisticated taste in music). I'm just wondering if anyone here owns any of his music. And if so, why?
See, i' m not even a fan of some artists that he did parodies of, such as coolio or, blurred lines.
What is the reason you would like, this music?

I've listened to many of his parody songs but I don't own any albums. I really like how his lyrics are usually more clever than the original songs. The Coolio song, Gangster's Paradise is based on the Stevie Wonder song Pastime Paradise so if you feel like it, give that a listen and see if you like it.

He's terrific. If you enjoy a good polka.

Almost physically, painfully unfunny.

I prefer his earlier, funnier songs.

The first CDs I ever bought, in the early 1990s, was a greatest hits pack of 4 CDs...
I like some of his spoofs, but he did a few original songs too... I think his parody's are weird as well as funny, and they are great to listen to.
Haven't hear much of his recent works though...

I prefer his earlier, funnier songs. I don’t think his earlier songs were funnier. In fact, he’s one of the few artists who seems to have gotten better with age. My favorite songs of his are “Word Crimes”, “Party in the CIA” and “TMZ”.

I remember one time when coolio said about amish paradise: 'I never said he could do that song, but he did it anyway.' Lol, kind of funny i f you ask me. Wow. Didn't know that - even though that is my favourite parody by him. Quite different ends of the spectrum with regards to Al approaching artists to do a parody of their song. Prince flat out said "NO parodies of my songs!" The lyrics in the song "Amish Paradise" - "tonight we're gonna party like it's 1699" - were the closest we'll get to a Prince parody. Meanwhile, Crash Test Dummies said "go for it!" when Al approached them to parody the song "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" into the song "Headline News". In fact, they couldn't wait to hear Al's version! However, to answer the question: I've been a fan of his for....as long as I can remember. I know he starts off every album with a parody. I know I am officially out of the loop when I had to ask what song "White & Nerdy" was being parodied. A few months ago, I heard the original song on one of the Galaxie music stations - likely Hip Hop. So, of course, I had to download the original. Joker's Wilde

Weird Al should be in the rock and roll hall of fame.
