...and still it's not enough to power a solo film? :-) SaveSaveNot even close, but I'll gladly watch it support main characters all day :-) Alright we're agreeing to disagree here. Let's just enjoy those shoulders and derrieres. SaveSave

Recent interviews with Feige ( collider.com/marvel-phase-4-movies-kevin-feige/ ) suggest that Phase 4 is not a done deal. Phase 4 could end up being the end of the arc we know now and the start of a new story with new characters. I'm perfectly fine with these characters and this arc. I don't want it to end. That's really the only reason why. When it does end (it has to at some point) I want that to be it for a while. I don't think a new universe beginning a year or two later would respect the achievement of the original. Of course Phase 4 can't be completely sorted out just yet, but I took Feige's words to mean that they're not going to start building towards something else big right away. I doubt Marvel Studios wants to end the MCU with just Phase 4 considering they've planned up to 28 movies. I guess I took it as though Feige was ready to kick all the original team (cast, producers, writers) out and usher in a new era. I don't think he was going to do it to be stupid or evil, but just to shake things up. Some people might like the new comic book characters and their tone, but I sure don't. If I had to guess, Phase 4 will be in the same universe, but the vast majority of the original cast will be gone and the connection between the two stories will be very much on the down-low. I could be wrong, and I hope I am. For the record, I am very excited for Black Panther and Doctor Strange 2 and what not. I'm sorry, but I'm just not excited for a female Thor or female Iron Man. Also, who wouldn't want Samuel L. as Nick Fury?

SaveSaveI promise you if there ever is a Widow film, I'll be there on opening night. And I'll have to watch in 3D so my X-ray classes aren't so obvious ;-)

There has been nothing to suggest that Feige will be firing everyone who has worked on the series thus far, and there is absolutely no chance they'll follow the comics' example. For one thing, Marvel comic sales have been abysmally low, and they'll be reverting back to using Tony, Steve, Thor, and everyone else as soon as Nazi Captain America's story arc is done. Two, I think they're going to continue introducing more characters from the comics who have been around for a long time but never got a film before, just like they've been doing. They know they have a winning formula with the films and there is next to no chance of them following the comics' trends. For one thing, they can't do female Thor because Natalie Portman isn't interested in appearing anymore and NO ONE is going to want Ironman replaced by anyone. They specifically introduced Doctor Strange and The Black Panther to to fill the void Downey will leave when he... leaves.

Phase 4 sounds so bad. I'm dreading it. Because you know, deep down in your soul, that after Thanos you're getting: -- Black/SJW Cap -- Female/SJW Thor -- Miles Morales -- etc., etc. Edited to add: oh, and a fifteen-year-old, half-black, half-Muslim, transgender lesbian whose moniker, in the misguided and pathetic name of "progress," will be (wait for it) "Iron Man," for some retarded reason. Enjoy your SJWCU; it will be even more grating than this current spate of glorified Transformers movies. And you'll all defend it to the death while I laugh hysterically.

Also, how has anything besides Infinity War garnered a single vote? Seriously: have you people not been paying attention?!

Spider-Man, specifically. That's awesome. I love it when people have favorites. One of my friends wives is really into Thor but nothing else. It's kind of cool.

All Feige is doing is keeping the focus on what is happening now. He wants you to treat it as though Infinity War is the end, and I think he's right to do that.
He's also leaving it open to creatively do what they want. I suspect that means one of several things. They may not maintain a long term focus, meaning crossovers may happen, but there may not be an overarching story it all builds to after this. Or they may have a major surprise like a deal for use of some or all of the Fantastic Four universe of characters, and they don't want to blow that load yet. Or they may actually do something insanely different likes recasting and they legitimately haven't decided on that yet.
We don't know, and he wants to keep that under wraps so that we focus on Infinity War, and again I think he's right to do that.

The strange cult-following that it has. It's fairly amusing and a little bit scary. Particularly when it gets to the point of posters asking whether watching Guardians 2 on a plane will help Disney's revenue increase. Like: are you a shareholder? Otherwise, what in god's name is wrong with you? Wonders never cease with these ghouls.

if there ever is a Widow film There already was a Black Widow movie: www.imdb.com/title/tt0090738/reference.
But there'll never be an MCU Black Widow movie. MCU's had 9 years to make a Black Widow movie but they refused to do so because they don't want female-led superhero movies. They only announced a Captain Marvel movie because they were pressured into it after DC announced a Wonder Woman movie. And even then, MCU pushed the Captain Marvel movie to the back of the list, after all their other movies.

Again, Captain Marvel was anounced the year before Wonder Woman was. Stop lying Donald.

We keep track of how the Marvel films are doing, because the box office performance of their current film reflects how upcoming films will be treated by the studio. Sorry this is just too difficult for you to understand.

Captain Marvel wasn't announced until after DC announced the Wonder Woman movie. You're as delusional as formersamhmd, who still won't acknowledge the fact that Stan Lee created the Fantastic Four and then the X-Men and Avengers only because his boss at Marvel Comics told him to create a superhero team for Marvel after he saw how popular the Justice League comics were so without the Justice League, there would be no Fantastic Four, no X-Men, and no Avengers comics and therefore no MCU.

And I dont give a flying fuck about which comic book company came up with what property first. None of it is original anyway.

Infinity Wars might be it for me. Spiderman on the side burner.
I haven't been much into the solo stuff other than 1-2 viewings. I only own the 2 Avengers + Civil War on blu.
Rogers & Stark need to have epic deaths or send offs. Nothing else will suffice.

For instance, I love pro wrestling, always have, and I follow the ebbs and flows of that business with passing fascination in an adult way. But I don't hang on every WWE quarterly financial report like a simpering little bitch as though Vince McMahon having to sell his corporate jet is somehow an affront to my personal lifestyle. You guys, particularly ArArArchStanton, are fucking pathetic losers about it, is my whole point. You act as though you've a greater stake in it than any fan could and possibly should, and this suggests mental instability and/or common, run-of-the-mill stupidity. Shit, I own Disney stock and don't care as much as you guys do. Just grow up/chill out, is my point. They're not gonna stop cranking out your McMarvel movies like cheap sausage, dude. Everything is gonna be okay.

If something like Strange, Guardians, or Black Panther, or Captain Marvel fails, then that means we're less likely to ever see films about other characters that don't get much love. You don't have a point, because you're making assumptions. You are not the one to decide whether or not fans should keep track of how well the thing they like is doing, you are not going to change the way we do things, what we do, or anything. Give it up. I don't believe for a single, second you actually own any Disney stock. You are in no position to tell anyone to grow up or chill out. We are not going to change to suit your tastes. Deal with it.
