If it weren’t for all those jarring editing choices?

The comic book panels? I actually liked that a lot. My biggest complaint about that movie is that there really isn't enough action or spectacle to balance out the talkiness. This is the Hulk for God's sake.

Marvel should bring Bana's Hulk into the MCU like they are Toby and Garfield. At some point. Eventually. It would be nice.

I've always felt that combining the best of the Ang Lee Hulk and the MCU Hulk would have given us the perfect Hulk movie. It's hard for me to put to words exactly what that would be, I guess the fun of the MCU version combined with the artistic direction of the Ang Lee film.

I think it would have helped, but the movie is still slow and there's not a whole lot going on.

I think they could have been done fine, but they don't mesh well with the serious tone it wanted to deliver. It worked in Scott Pilgrim and Into the Spider-Verse because they had the right tone to go with it.

If you mean the comic book panel editing, I thought it was its best feature.
I don't know if it would have fared better, but it aged well in my opinion.

I liked the panels but it was the lack of action and Hulk smash stuff. It was too philosophical and the hulk poodles needed to be axed. Bana was a bad choice as well.
That guy is so bland.
I cringe at the line in the Star Trek where hew says "Fire everything!"
And I only watched the trailer, that was enough to get a thumbs down from me.
