Is there any possible answer other than Judgment Day? Slovak would have said Terminator 3.

T2: Judgment Day. After that the franchise went downhill.

Terminator 2 by a country mile.
In fact, I favour it over the 1984 movie.

Yeah, I gotta go go with the consensus here and pick T2. Even though I did actually kinda like Dark Fate. Go ahead and crucify me.

T2 but I gave up on the franchise after the third one, so I dunno about the rest. BTW does anyone know if Cameron actually owns the rights? Doesn't look like he's really had anything to do with Terminator after the 2nd one.

Well supposedly he had some involvement with Dark Fate, but I think it's probably less than what was said before the movie came out.

If you mean which sequel BESIDES T2 was best then I’d go with the TV show. It wasn’t oh my god awesome but it was entertaining enough. Plus I enjoyed seeing Shirley Manson as a T-1001.

T2 is the only Terminator sequel I'm aware of.

Judgment Day by far. The other films can not exist as far as I care. To me there are only two Terminator films.
Although I was actually OK with Terminator: Salvation. Its not a good Terminator film but fine as a sci fi action film.
Rise, Genisys and Dark Fate are all lame.

Other than T2, either 3 or Dark Fate.

Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines and/or Terminator Dark Fate are the best IMO. Why? Because they actually fit as part 3 installments and continue the story nicely. Salvation and Genysis are very weak attempts at rejuvenating the franchise. In Salvations defense it could have been a much better movie. 2 things ruin its chances... A) McG directing. Has that man directed anything of value? Not IMO. B) The original script was said to have focused on Sam Worthington's character, which was kind of an interesting departure from the Sarah/John Connor based storyline. That role was offered to Christian Bale, but he forced changes to make it about John Connor because he wanted to play John. And rather than lose Bale, they capitulated. And that's why you now have a movie that seems divided and unfocused.
