Anne Boleyn got her head head chopped of by a French man with a sword, because that is what Henry VIII wanted to happen.

She gave great head. Actually, rumor has it that HVIII was not into that.

Its kind of funny how Henry VIII is the only person that considered Anne of Cleves ugly, my guess is that it was probably Henry VIII who was not as advertised. She was 24 years old and Henry VIII was 48 and extremely overweight. Also Henry VIII reaction has probably a lot to do with the first meeting at Rochester Castle in 1539, also the nickname The Flanders Mare is not even from the era of Henry VIII or Tudor Era. the first mention of the Flanders Mare is from 1679. There are no proof that Henry VIII ever called Anne of Cleves the Flanders mare I think most people where a bit smelly back in those days.

One of history's greatest ironies that the daughter he didn't want from the wife he had executed ended up taking up his legacy far better than the son he wanted from the wife he loved.

Well to be fair Edward was only 9 when he became king and he died when he was 15, So its not like he had much change to make a legacy like he probably would have if he had lived for 40-60 more years, of course than we would not have had Mary 1 or Elizabeth 1.

Oh agreed. But due to ill health, Edward never ended up the heir Henry was desperate for while the unloved Elizabeth turned out to be a more successful chip off the old block.

Anne Boleyn got her head head chopped of by a French man with a sword, because that is what Henry VIII wanted to happen. 485 years before the day you started this thread (May 19th 2021) the date was May 8th 1536, and Anne Boleyn still had 11 days to live.
