Something tells me this will be set in its own continuity. If so, that’s gonna be annoying.

Something tells me they'll go through about 8 different directors before moving it back to 2024, 2025 etc.
With WB being so director driven and all.

Those 2 are good directors. I kinda thought WB said they were looking for a woman director for this movie though? Regardless, I think they are a nice choice, and I’m looking forward to seeing the film.

Can't wait to see it and find out who is playing Barbara!! I hope they base it on Gail Simone's series which was rumoured before and they use Batgirl's costume from that series or the costume from Rebirth with the new mask 'cause the costume in the 'Burnside' series was awful. I am curious to see if the movie is going to be connected to 'The Batman' or exist in its own separate continuity on HBO Max 'cause the scripts for 'The Batman' such as Ben Affleck's one were said to have Batgirl in them and Matt Reeves has said about using the Bat Family in interviews. Then there is also the Nightwing solo movie I have heard is still getting made and with 'Batgirl' on HBO Max they could give a lot of the Bat Family characters their own solo movies and have them all exist in their own universe.

I hope it’s Ben Affleck, which leads to his own Batman mini-series on HBO Max.

I hope it’s Ben Affleck, which leads to his own Batman mini-series on HBO Max. Well, J. K. Simmons is playing Commissioner Gordon in the movie. So my money is on Affleck as well.

Leslie Grace? I must have missed that casting news. What a fucking disappointment. Oh well.

Apparently, Sylvester Stallone almost signed on as the villain before Fraser was cast.

The only thing of true note that these guys have directed is Bad Boys for Life, and that was only okay because of the low bar its previous sequel is when directed by Michael Bay. Them as directors doesn't give me high hopes for this. On the other hand, if their version is similar to what it looks like Matt Reeves is doing with The Batman, an aggressive dark movie, then this might be a surprise hit. I'd like to see a female version of that. But something tells me this will be lighter.

Simmons’ latest comment makes it seem like perhaps we’re dealing with another offset of the universe, saying: "..I was as surprised as I was when [Marvel] came back to ask me to do [Jameson] that they were coming to me to play Batgirl’s father, Commissioner Gordon again, in this new version of the universe."

Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai have joined the cast of Batgirl in currently-unknown roles.
