I have the first two Alien movies. Ya oughta get yourself a Blu-ray player. DVD players are ancient.

I use them occasionally --I have seen blu-ray quality films but most films I watch are SD and grainy pixelated VHS-transfers of obscure films so it wouldnt do me much good.

I also more or less stayed with DVDs. I do have a blu-ray player and a few discs but it’s either DVD or streaming services now. No point in “buying” digital copies as the companies still control the things and you can’t give them to a charity shop or sell them to a 2nd hand shop.
