I would like to read it.
William Faulkner was a fan of detective stories and wrote a novel (using his stream-of-consciousness style) that was a mystery, "Intruder In The Dust," and a book full of detective short stories in a straight-forward style published in 1949 under the title "Knight's Gambit." So even Nobel Laureates like to work in genre from time to time.

I didn't know that. I'd like to read it as I like John Steinbeck and werewolves. Could also make a movie of the book.
