Good idea for a new thread Spitfire926f. I was thinking about doing that myself since I was posting videos in the 'Because They Are So Darn Cute' thread from time to time.

Good idea for a new thread Spitfire926f. I was thinking about doing that myself since I was posting videos in the 'Because They Are So Darn Cute' thread from time to time. I feel like half the posts on GD are cute animal videos anyway, lol. I love feel-good videos, especially if I spend any time on the politics board that makes me hope for an extinction event 😐 You guys down in Oz have some really cool animals. We have a Koala at our zoo, but he's alone, and I think the plan is to get another one. He seems really put out by us though, and if I could read his mind, I'm pretty sure it would say "stupid yanks" 🤣 |

I feel like half the posts on GD are cute animal videos anyway, lol. He seems really put out by us though, and if I could read his mind, I'm pretty sure it would say "stupid yanks" 🤣  I love those types of videos too and I can see how they would be good for you to turn to after spending time on the Poltics boards and I tend to avoid Politics boards on forums 'cause there is way too much fighting on them and I would rather spend my time writing about happy things when I am online. We do have some great animals here in Australia and I love Koalas but sadly experts have said they might become exinct in the next 50 years if more is not done to help them and the big bushfires we had here in New South Wales made things worse even though they were able to save a number of them. One thing I should mention with Koalas though if you ever come to Australia never approach them or kangaroos or wombats in the wild 'cause as cute as they look wild ones can get really savage and wild kangaroos here are known for attacking people and can be very aggressive and attack for no reason at all. They are nice to look at though and where my Grandfather used to live he had a look out behind his backyard and Kangaroos would pass his house every day. This video below is from the show, 'Too Cute' and as a fellow dog lover I would recommend you check out the show if you can 'cause every episodes features the first few months of a group of puppies lives before they go off to their forever homes and Animal Planet used to have so many great pet shows with dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, goats, horses etc but sadly they have replaced most of them now with shows about scary animals like crocodiles, snakes and sharks. Have you seen 'Puppy Bowl?'

And I've watched a lot of Too Cute I had read the Australian fires really decimated a lot of the population. I'm hoping here in the US we'll help with captive breeding programs, I think that's what they're doing at my local zoo. I'd bever approach a wild animal. Here our deer have become acclimated to people and will get close to you because they're looking for a handout (my mom and I leave apples in the yard for them). But they can kick and do a lot of damage. I'd be a afraid of getting close to a kangaroo, I know they can kick too! |
