WKD has been bugging me to make an apple cake so I found a simple recipe on Allrecipes.com (Apple Cake 1) and it turned out good! WKD is currently gobbling a hot piece of cake - he couldn't let it cool. He said if he were a dog, his tail would be wagging, that's a big compliment from WKD.
I'm kinda proud of myself - as most of you know, I don't bake . I also don't make homemade soups.

 Good for you, WKM! I hope this proves to be a confidence boost. Maybe, someday, you'll start watching a few chicken soup videos on YouTube, and give it a whirl. It's kinda fun, because you can put whatever you want in it. |

Divtal: I doubt I'll ever try to make soup again, it was always a total disaaster, not a fan of most chicken soup.
My cake tastes good but of course, once it cooled and I tried cutting it into pieces, it all fell apart so we have a big pile of apple cake but can eat it with spoons. Things never stay together for me, i.e. meatloaf - it always crumbles. I followed the directions exactly.

I have made a cake from scratch a couple of times. It is very rewarding to eat your creation if it tastes good.

I wish I could bake something, even though we don't need it. I miss my oven!!
