Pianist, lounge croaker and blue comedienne Rusty Warren has died at the age of 91. Known as 'Busty Rusty' to her friends, Warren became known as "the mother of the sexual revolution". She recorded a number of controversial comedy albums, including the smash hit 'Knockers Up!' (1960). Despite her club success, Warren's patriotic, all-American anthem 'Bounce Your Boobies' failed to make the grade at military parades, though it was taken up as a feminist call to arms.
"Movies are the enemy of the novel because they are replacing novels. Novelists shouldn’t write for the movies, unless, of course, they discover they’re no good at writing novels." - John Irving
