Hoooieeee! I did not see that coming! Great cliffhanger. Yes!!! I figured she was gone with the Berlin storyline. I'm kind of sorry our FBI guy is gone. I was starting to think he and Carrie were going to 'partner off'.

I thought he was evolving into a major player. Credible for being a skeptic. His tour of that private spook agency was chilling. (Which apparently isn't a figment of the show writers' imagination...) That was very sad. I just And what of the Adal linkage now w/ Mossad?

I just And what of the Adal linkage now w/ Mossad? I never liked Dar Adal, (although he is Quinn's 'daddy', sort of). Right now, the show is at least pushing us to believe Adal is not liking a potential 'pacifist' as POTUS, and might be involved in a false flag op, the one in NYC. I dunno, tho. For me, that would be 'jumping the shark' a bit. Also, I'm betting the secret 'org' is probably going to be some sort of "BlackWater" type company, maybe involved with domestic security. And? Is that where the German connection is? Let's not forget Carrie is in possession of Agent Conlins 'murder weapon'.

Is that where the German connection is? Let's not forget Carrie is in possession of Agent Conlins 'murder weapon'. RE: FBI dude's weapon. Totally w/u on that. Of course she needed it at the time, tho I was curious why she didn't try to secure ANY hard evidence of what is turning into a convoluted conspiracy, by at least trying to wound this dude or get proof of this unclaimed spook's involvement. And then to keep it? (Presuming that was what she was holding while keeping vigil over Francis's bedside.) I don't like it when shows make their characters "stupid" all of the sudden to advance another plot crisis. (Didn't even call 911, c'mon...) Oh, and turns out the creepy knitter is actually just a pissed mom. I liked how they gave her a chance to voice her valid opinions and opposition to the prez-elect. I thought that was a good exchange b/w the two --- except there has to be something more to it: the prez elect kept trying to figure out where she'd seen her before. They don't just write those things for sport, so I predict there's more to this than currently meets the eye. As for Dar, (BTW: What IS Dar now? Is he the CIA director?) I think u were right from the beginning. He's too easy of villain. It'll be more complicated than just him wanting to derail the Iran deal, and marginalize the incoming Prez. Plus, would he really go so far to risk killing many more ppl by sending a mobile bomb into dwntwn Manhattan? (Even if it was remotely detonated at a point to reduce the collateral damage.) He's a double-dealing genius -- an amoral Machiavellian "end justifies the means" type, but to actually plan an attack? I'm with u there-- that's a bridge too far. I think you're right about the "Blackwater" gone rogue theory. With this massive expansion, they're gearing up for some heavy offensive, a coup? Maybe no one is pulling their strings, except an ideological cabal. Thoooo.... why is the NY section Cheif working against Saul? I think they're (the Blackwater co.) is the source of the CI's recording leak. at at any rate it's fun to watch now. So many balls in the air. And the callbacks: Javadi, Astrid. I'd like to see that Pakistani intelligence officer from last season again... He was a cool dude.

Yea, they got some spinning going on. I'm not entirely sure our 'pissed off Mom" is simply a "pissed off Mom", though. That entire situation of 'whisking the president elect off' still smells funny to me.

Last few eps have been great. The look on Sauls face when he found that room. Just like old times again. Where the hell did everybody on here go to in the last 4 weeks?

I'm kind of watching out of habit, rather than looking forward to each show.

I'm kind of watching out of habit, rather than looking forward to each show. Yea, I agree. A little lackluster. I'll put my amateur 'critic' hat on, and mention a few things. "American Baseball Reference 101". They didn't have a ton of confidence in an original storyline, so they began the season 'pitching from the stretch'. Claire Danes get's to play the single Mom who has it all, and Rupert Friend gets to do his "Dustin Hoffman/Sean Penn" bit. Acting up a storm, baby. "Let's get the actors 'acting', and add a plot to fit it". The 21st Century version of 'jumping the shark'. Anyone else miss Olivia Benson, circa 2002? That said, they threw a Dar subplot in, and the opening salvo, about the Muslim kid wasn't horrible. I don't think they ever really went anywhere with the "Bannon/Alex Jones" composite. I dunno. I'll watch next season. I do like the cloud surrounding this POTUS, as I never really took to her. This season, for me, was a weak entry. Can they reboot this next year? Gonna miss one character, although he was almost utilized like 'stupid pet tricks' this season. We'll see.........

Happy with the first 2 eps of the new season. Like that that Walking Dead actor turned up blackmailing Carrie, hopefully he becomes a regular and helps Carrie out with his computer wizardry
