Tell me about it! I used to watch this show regularly as a teenager.

I never watched it, but I think I remember it playing on TV and seeing ads for it.

I enjoyed it for what it was, though eventually you have to ask yourself how rare these immortals actually are.

I enjoyed it for what it was, though eventually you have to ask yourself how rare these immortals actually are. It’s kinda the same in the John Wick universe. Apparently half the world’s population are assassins in a secret society. On the topic, I kind of liked the Highlander series and I could go for a serious theatrical reboot.

I liked how the series evolved over the seasons. At the beginning the sword fights were kind of simplistic, but over time the choreography became more and more complex. The plots were quite formulaic, almost every episode had MacLeod meeting some immortal he had known before and ended with a fight scene between them. Even so occasionally the writers did deviate from the formula coming up with some very creative ideas like bringing in the four horsemen of the apocalypse or turning Lord Byron into an immortal.

The Horsemen episodes were the best, they should've done more of them as originally planned.
I love this show, I have the whole series on DVD, but I have never seen the whole series, just certain episodes I rewatch over and over and over. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch any of them since last year when Stan Kirsch (Richie Ryan) killed himself. He was my favorite part of the show.

I was absolutely shocked to hear about Stan Kirsch's suicide. So sad, especially since his character seemed so easy-going and likeable on the show. I used to have the entire series on dvd, but recently I had to throw away my season 5 box set, since some of the dvds got damaged. I was hoping they would release the series on blu-ray, but no such luck.
