Anyone else find this portrayal extremely underrated? Scarecrow is one my favorite Batman villains, and I think he was done exceptionally well in these.

I thought he was OK. Interesting trivia, Schumacher was going to make a Batman movie with Scarecrow and was considering casting Coolio (no I'm not making that up)

I am definitely a fan, though he is my second least favorite main villain of the trilogy.
I actually think Batman Begins is the movie that made me a fan of Cillian Murphy and I have also been a fan of Scarecrow since TAS. He is more interesting and creepier in TAS though.

I prefer TAS cartoon version.
I think Christopher Lloyd could have done it live-action.

Hmm...so it's vs I don't know, they're both pretty good takes on it I think.

I am not talking about the look of the character as much as the writing. In Batman Begins he is more of a glorified henchman, which works for the story of Batman Begins.

I liked his portrayal. Scarecrow is one of the more interesting villains that’s for sure. I liked Murphy in 28 days later so was happy to see him in this when it came out.

Batman is always better when Scarecrow is around in my opinion. Murphy was great although I wanted more from him.

Scarecrow was also great in the Arkham games.

I agree, he is incredibly underrated, I just didn't like what they did to him in TDK.

I feel it was a good way to enter Batman into the movie, wrap up leftover stuff from Batman Begins and to introduce some of the new villains. I love how he pops up as the kangaroo court judge in The Dark Knight Rises too.

I liked him a lot. But I’ve always wished he had more screen time.
