Should they keep the name?
Athletics is kind of a lame moniker, but it is part of baseball history. At the same time though, I like to see cities choose names that are appropriate/fitting for the region. Las Vegas Raiders still sounds damn cool and fits the city nicely. Las Vegas Athletics? Not so much.

They have been the Athletics in Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Oakland. I don't see that changing in Vegas, or wherever they end up.
Although, if a team changes cities a 4th time, how bout we just eliminate that team from the league?

Let's get rid of them, too.

Not so much. They were a charter member of the American League in 1901. There is a zero percent chance they will ever change their name.

I'd be all for leaving the team nickname die in the original city (or in case they get back on their feet in the future the can revive the team)
Let the new host pick a new team name - and let the old home keep the nickname
Like the Colts. If I lived in Baltimore - I'd want the Colts back - not the 'Ravens'
