I'm sure we'd all like to do this to a bully:

Catman was bullied in junior high. The bully was killed some years later while trying to rob a liquor store.

Only on the original boards. It's not as much of an issue when you're homeschooled.

I'm sure we'd all like to do this to a bully: Bullies usually change as they grow up but some of them are hung up on hurting others and those are the ones who don't deserve our sympathy when they are on the receiving end.

Not like physical bullying. I was teased in high school but not the worst. My school was tiny. The entire high school maybe had 100 students for all grades. Nothing violently dramatic ever happened there.

Yes, I am ashamed to say, I remember "teasing" a couple of people, with a couple of my friends, when I was in Junior High... I never got physical with them, just said things...
But I was also "teased" and people messed with me and my belongings...
I guess I thought it was OK to do the same, because of that.
The strangest thing to ever happen to me was, that one day at the end of school, I was in the crowded hallways trying to leave, when some kid, I didn't even know, punched me in the stomach, probably on a dare from his friends... I was short winded, and scared that he would do it again or worse, and so I just left, and went to get my Bicycle and go home...
They followed me to the bike racks, and confronted me... and asked my why I didn't fight back... I told them I didn't know them or why he punched me, and I didn't want to stay around a get a further beating for God knows what reason they had...
And let's face it... I didn't know if this kid knew karate or anything like that... If he did, I wouldn't win in a fight, anyway, and so I felt retreating was my best option...
They just kid of said a couple of things, laughed, and left...
I got on my bike and rode home, confused and frightened, and crying... wondering what the hell did I do to deserve getting randomly punched in the gut...
I never saw the kid again... Thank God.
At least when it is a class mate, you have some idea why they do those things to you, even if it still hurts to get bullied.
I went to school with the son of a congressman, and he was a bully when he was with his friends, but was friendly when he was by himself... He was alone one day, and said hello to me, as he walked past me in the halls... It was quite confusing...
And of course I was teased, because people thought of me as a nerd in the late 1980s...
It's interesting how all those people are now using the internet, discussion forums, shopping online, streaming movies, and have smart phones chained to their wrists... ETC.
Without us nerds, where would they be now?

I bullied bullies. Not always physical, but I did find most of them were not tough guys at all. But I loved taking those lumps down a peg. I never considered myself heroic, it just bugged me to see some gorilla picking on a dorky kid. And, like I said, stand up to 90% of them, and they turned into dorks.

When I was 12, I kept going over the preps’ area and made this one particular kid say “vax dettol” (or something) until he could say it properly. He cried often but in the end he got it! I kept doing it and then one day he dobbed on me to his grandma who had a Scottish accent and I ran away before she could confront me. Fun times!

I disagree, most people don't change, which is why a lot of people never attend their high school reunions, they know the people that treated them like shit 20-40-50 years ago are going to do the same shit all over again to show off and be 'funny' and 'cool'.

Being bullied at school was bad enough but things didn't help when the teachers were apathetic and simply turned a blind eye then the only thing I could do to protect myself was to skip school.

My classmates didn't really put up with bullies going overboard or getting physical.
I guess some kids tried to pick fun about my small size but I never cared and it wouldn't last because they'd get bored.
