United States men's national ice hockey team looks very much like it may manage to win the IIHF World Championship for the first time since 1960.
If the United States does win it, than it will be their 3 world championship in ice hockey.

Saw a 'Breaking News' alert the other day that the US Mens Basketball Team failed to qualify for the Olympics
It was some 3 on 3 tourney - I've got to look up who was on this team - probably like 5 middle aged white YMCA legends

Hence the women's team advancing to Tokyo while the men are presumably committing seppuku as we speak.

In Women's Ice Hockey, USA does very well.
In fact, in that first Olympics, the joke was made that USA and Canada should play a best of 7 tournament for the gold medal. Everyone else - plays for bronze.
Those two teams were THAT much better than all the other teams in the tournament.
