This guy truly does not the credit he deserves as an all round great performer.

Guess what, northern? I'm recording a new Robbie Robertson documentary tonight, as I write (it's screening around 2:00am UK time). Hope to be back to share some genuine thoughts.

Rhodes Scholar and Army Ranger too.
My favorite composition is Sunday Morning Coming Down. It was popularized by Johnny Cash but the perky arrangement misses the pain and melancholy. Here's Kris doing it right.
Then I headed back for home And somewhere far away a lonesome bell was ringin' And it echoed through the canyons Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday
On the Sunday morning sidewalk Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned 'Cause there's something in a Sunday Makes a body feel alone

As you probably know, Robbie is a king here and deservedly so. I read his autobiography last year and all I can say is wow.

Got to see him live about 10 years ago at a Bridge School Benefit in the Bay Area.
It was supposed to be Kris with Merle Haggard, which would have been a dream come true for me, but Merle was ill and didn't show up. Kristofferson was great, though, so it was all good.
Even at an older age, he could keep you spellbound with his songs. Great performer.
