Has any one tried the Burger King non meat burger? Is it good? I used to eat Morningstar Farms veggie burgers but got terrible gas from them so had to stop eating them.

I used to eat their veggie burger about 15 years ago. It was fine. I assume what they have now is different though.
I never found a frozen veggie burger I liked. Loved Morningstar corn dogs though. Tastes practically the same as a real corn dog.

I don’t understand the whole fake meat craze. I respect vegetarians, but why eat imitation meat?

I saw a guy on TV a few days ago talking about the need to reduce the consumption of meat in order to help the environment, I think reducing the future population of humans would help the environment, the Earth is over populated. He was talking about eating veggie burgers so the number of meat producing animals could be greatly reduced.

I tried it once because I had a t mobile deal. It was fine, probably amazing if you're a vegitaruan and haven't had delicious cow in awhile. Though with my low carb diet, the meat patty isn't really my whopper problem.

Personally, if I gave up meat I’d just commit to that choice. I just don’t really see chemical filled processed fake “meat-like” substance as an appealing alternative. I gave up soda years ago. On occasion I will relapse and have one. And when I do it’s a real soda. Not one of those diet ones, which a lot of people drink daily with misplaced satisfaction that they’re being healthy. I guess what I’m saying is that I’m just a no half measures kinda guy.

I guess what I’m saying is that I’m just a no half measures kinda guy. I eat seafood but don't eat meat at all. I'll eat an impossible burger or a beyond burger when I'm at BBQs and things like that, just so I have something to eat. Sometimes, a little junk food is in order and if I can do it and not eat meat, then great! Eating things like impossible whoppers isn't about "eating healthy" and, as you correctly said, those burgers are heavily processed (as are the regular burgers at every fast food place). For me, giving up meat was a combination of a humanitarian issue and in representing a lot of food manufacturers and distributors over the years, I've learned things that I was previously ignorant about, quite happily. If you want your proverbial cake and eat it too, impossible whoppers are great options.

The nearest Burger King is gross and I won't eat there. I've made Impossible Burgers at home and they were better than expected, better than those cheap frozen meat patties, but not better than a good quality grass fed beef burger.
