The Addams Family vs The Munsters

I've been watching The Munsters again recently, and while I still wouldn't put it on any favorites list it does have its moments. Although I love both Carolyn Jones and John Astin, I'm not sure that the Addams Family has really held up all that well--especially when you compare the series humor to the more mordant humor of the films, and most especially to the original Charles Addams source cartoons.

I was never a big fan of either, but I prefer the Addams Family.

Did not care for either one but The Addams Family was somewhat more entertaining. It's a shame the ravishing Yvonne De Carlo was obscured by all that make up as Lilly Munster.

I'm giving the edge to the slightly more caustic Adams Family and the torrid relationship (for television, anyway) between Gomez and Morticia.   

I wasn't a huge fan of either in the sixties although I caught most of their episodes in the first year (trailed off after that when the novelty wore out).  The Adams Family movies were a distinct improvement over the tv series; The Munsters was not.
