So I just finished watching Six Feet Under for the first time. Coincidentally it’s the show’s 20th anniversary. I always knew of the show’s existence. However, I kinda avoided it because it never really sounded like my thing. I decided to give it a try because the timing seemed right. I was pretty instantly hooked and sucked in. All the actors and characters were great. Pretty wonderfully cast and constructed. The performances were top notch. The show did a great job just examining life and death and what those things put people through. It was a little depressing at times because the series makes you think about your own mortality. But the writing is so good you just keep on pushing on. I watched the series pretty quickly (2 months) for me. I generally take forever to finish a show. I started The Shield over two years ago and I still haven’t finished. So I think the fact I couldn’t stop watching, and put other shows on hold, speaks to how good it was. And of course the finale was really as great as they said it would be. They wrapped everything up well. The closing sequence was really quite beautiful and moving. I give the series 10/10.

It's a very good show, one of my all-time favourites in the Drama category. I own the entire series on DVD.

I had very similar issues, that's why I still haven't watched it, but perhaps one day I'll give it a try.

If not, you’re probably not gonna like it and the whole thing won’t be worth it. But i do think it’s worth giving a try at some point.

One of the best tv shows ever produced. I liked it so much I bought the DVD series for a friend who hadn't seen it.

It’s funny, I watched all of Six Feet Under and all of what was available at that time for Dexter almost back to back. Michael C. Hall was great in both of them yet the two characters could not have been more different. I really like at least 3 seasons of Dexter but Six Feet Under is my favorite show of all time.

I watched it during it's original run as a Teen... Not sure if I'd enjoy it as much now. But at the time enjoyed it.

I got bored with it after season 3, but I like the first 2 seasons a lot.
I can't recall the reason I lost interest though. I just stopped caring for whatever reason.
