There was a study showing that listeners of NPR scored highest in quizzes to test accuracy of knowledge about current events. Fox News (which the poster above me suggests) scored the lowest, with Fox viewers knowing less about current events than the control group of people who didn't watch any news.

As referred in my OP I'm not coming at this with any political bias, I have no affiliation any whichway, but I do admit to having an interest in politics in toto.
We don't get much detailed American politics on UK national TV & radio, or in the press, so I have to follow online.
It seems to me that most of what Fox reports turns out to be provably true, and all the other channels follow each other in common progressive socialist reporting, mostly provably untrue, and with a continuing theme of keeping Trump out at all costs, all with the support of 'big tech'.
Just to add, it is noticeable that much of Fox news on Youtube is edited out, or blocked, as can be confirmed when checking with the original reports on the official Fox pages. Also much of what Fox reports (which is usually proved to be true) is never even shown on the other channels.
So it appears that much of the truth is deliberately hidden on left wing channels. Am I right?

I don't really watch TV news but it's safe to say that only one of those is universally known for outright lies and general craziness. The one that defends itself in court by claiming it's really an entertainment channel instead of a news channel and only an idiot would take it seriously. The others might have varying degrees of competence and their own biases or sugar daddies limiting what's acceptable to cover but it's not even close to the same.

I know I'll get shit for it but RT, Russia Today is a channel with solid reports and they also point out the propaganda and lies by ommision of other media.
CNN is pure corporate propaganda with a gaggle of preverts and creeps on it. Propaganda pushing puppets, CIA interns (Anderson Vanderbuilt), fearmongers and preverts beating their meat on air. What a joke.
Fox isn't as bad but they go full tilt with being pro regime change wars and fearmongering about the threat of terrorism. For a while they had that Juan Guaido guy on two or three times a week and pushed hard to legitimize him and actively trying to overthrow the government of Venezuala.
They are a mouthpiece for the Defense Dept. They are completely in the pocket of warmongers and the MIC.
Hannity is opinion. Still, I am sure someone dropped a hammer on his head back when he worked construction.

On the whole I believe it is. Conversely CNN and all the others listed are completely in the pockets of the corrupt Washington swamp, particularly the Clinton, Obama, Biden, type Democratic Party, and are likewise corrupt. The truth to these leftist 'reporters' and presenters is totally alien.
Fox although not perfect (what is?) can be relied on for honest reporting. Which is why the Swamp is continually trying to close them down.

Fox has remained moderate in its reporting but its opinion shows does lean to the right though I'd say they're subtler than what most channels do. MSNBC and OANN are on the extreme ends of the spectrum with their story selection and opinions shows.
As for CNN, they haven't had a crumb of credibility since they were consumed by hatred for the mean orange twitter guy.

- been caught doctoring photos of Democrats to make them look sickly
- been caught multiple times showing video clips that have nothing to do with the story they're reporting (e.g. talking about a teacher's strike while showing clips of people fighting in a parking lot to make it look like those evil, socialist teachers are so violent)
- ran a fake story that the LAPD was "wasting taxpayer money" by buying $1 billion-worth of jet packs
- ran a fake story that Obama's state trip to India was costing a billion dollars a day (strangely, they didn't worry too much about the cost of trips once Trump took office)
- had people on to accuse Obama of plotting to "take over Texas" and send people to FEMA concentration camps
- has given Obama birthers, Covid deniers and other assorted whackos airtime
- one of their people (i.e. Tucker Carlson) literally won a court case with his lawyers claiming that people who watched him didn't literally expect him to tell the truth

All news channels make mistakes when reporting. Fox News and reputable news outlets usually apologize when they make mistakes. The Leftist media seldom does apologize, as most of their "mistakes" are deliberate lies in the first place, as most of their reporting is. Fake news is their policy.
