Disney's attempt to appeal to teenage boys. The movie unfortunately was a box office failure though it has gained a solid cult following. Probably one my favorite Disney animated movies  |

I love it, such an awesome movie. I never really saw it as an attempt to appeal to teenage boys. It just felt more to me like they were going for a Jules Verne-like adventure story.
Really weird hearing James Garner's voice as a bad guy.

Let’s keep it going, I’d pick Tom Holland for Milo Thatch, Seychelle Gabriel as Kida, Stephen Lang as Commander Rourke, Charlize Theron as Helga Sinclair, Dwayne Johnson as Doctor Sweet, Isabella Gomez as Audrey Ramirez, Bobby Cannavale as Vinnie, and Martin Klebba as Mole. |

Tom Holland is the go-to guy for hypothetically re-casting any Michael J. Fox role I've noticed.  But I can't think of anyone else, so he'll have to do. Anyway, I'd say Tommy Lee Jones as Rourke, Tony Shalhoub as Vinnie, Gal Gadot as Helga Sinclair and Sterling K. Brown as Dr. Sweet. Can't think of the others at the moment. |

Looking back at it, I think the story is kind of clichéd. Also, I think the movie should have longer by at least 20 minutes so the world building would not feel so rushed.
