I don't even like E.J., but this guy doesn't have it. The actor (who is Australian and not British, which is close-ish but apparently not close enough) seems to be focusing too much on the accent and appearing mannered and sophisticated that everything else is going out the window. He's coming off like a total joke. And since when does E.J. go around saying things like "I say, Samantha, this is the first time I've ever seen you rendered positively speechless! What say you, old man, first time as well?" E.J.'s British. He's not from 1947.

Ha! I had some similar thoughts!
I can't figure out what it is but it's almost like he seems nervous or something...uncomfortable on set.
I also feel like the EJ he thinks he should be is a total 180 from his true self so he's struggling to keep in character? Something like that. His dimple is really throwing me off!
I think he's intimidating and they have definitely set up this walking on eggshells vibe with Sami.
All of this is just making Lucas the winner for Sami which is fine by me! I want LUMI again so badly!
I am willing to give him a chance but yeah he's definitely not the same as James Scott, which is ok.

Well, I’m still willing to wait before I give Dan Feuerriegel a pass or fail. He was very good in Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I just think that the lines he’s delivering are overly corny. But, hopefully, EJ will just be intermittent. I think it’s time to move on from the DiMera family and introduce perhaps more of the Vitale family. The DiMeras have become too over the top for me and I still don’t get why the Chen family gets to make all the executive board decisions? It’s a family business!!!

Have any of you watched Succession on HBO? It's a massive media conglomerate but also a family business. The board and shareholders make decisions but the majority of the shareholders are family, therefore the company retains control and can do what they want...although they are in trouble but that is because of bad loans...but yeah, it makes no sense that Shin controls everything when it's the DiMera company. Why don't they just buy his shares? I also thought Chad was in majority control because Kristen gave her his shares?
The thing that makes ZERO sense to me is how Gabi owns the house. Just because she was married to Stefan and he died? That's not how properties work. Just because he was running the company when he died doesn't mean his widow then owns the house...that is super stupid to me.
