Its also called a twig, but stick is also correct.
But i think twig is what is normally used to describe a thin branch of a tree or bush

That looks almost like the stick Peter used when he tried to prove two parallel lines never meet by walking around the world and dragging the stick behind him.
Unfortunately for him, the stick wore down as the trek progressed, and the two lines met just as he returned to the cavemen group. They were not impressed.

By that definition the OP is definitely a picture of a stick.

Sometimes i wonder if younger people even know what a stic k is anymore. I think they probably do, but i'm not 100 percent sure.

Much like the stadium where the Toronto Blue Jays played before the pandemic hit. Now known as Rogers Centre (thanks to corporate Canada), but was once known as SkyDome. A lot of people I know still call it SkyDome. I could correct them, but why bother? I know where they're talking about.  Joker's Wilde
