So what players from your team or teams do you feel have legitimate shots at making the All-Star teams? Doesn't mean these guys will neccesarily make it, but you feel at least should be considered. And be honest about it.
For the Red Sox, I've got JD Martinez, Rafael Devers, and Xander Bogaerts as locks, but really that might be it. Alex Verdugo might have a case, but I say probably not. Even though the Sox starting pitchers have been a nice surprise, I don't think any of them are really All-Stars. Matt Barnes has a case for making it as a closer, though. So I got 3 definite and maybe Barnes.
For the Giants, I think Buster Posey and Kevin Gausman are locks. Brandon Crawford should most definitely make it, but he may be squeezed out by less deserving, yet more media loved shortstops in the NL. Anthony Desclafani might have a pretty good argument, and I really feel like Tyler Rogers should get in as a set-up bullpen guy, he has been fantastic all year. So that's 2 definite and 3 possible other deserving players.
What say you?

cedric mullins john means trey mancini I think Mancini for sure, Mullins should get in, not sure about Means. I can't see 3 Orioles in the All-Star game.

Phillies - Zack Wheeler should be named as a pitcher. Nobody else really has a shot. Maybe Realmuto. Maybe Harper.

For the Marlins, definitely Trevor Rogers, maybe Sandy Alcantara or Pablo Lopez, they’ve all been strong so far. On offense the only one I could see getting in is Starling Marte, he’s been excellent but he was injured for a good while.

Harper really hasn't been an All-Star this year. He hasn’t played at an all-star level but he’s a name, I can see him getting named just for ratings or something.

The only Padres should be Tatis and Melancon. Nobody else deserves to be anywhere near Denver.

Gerrit Cole and Aaron Judge for sure.
They may put Aroldis Chapman in.
LeMahieu has a small chance of being voted in.
That's about it.

Cole for sure, Judge is being voted in, and Chapman has been good all year. I'm not seeing LeMahieu making it, not based on this year.

He started out like gangbusters, but has had some relatively rough outings of late, and with this being the year of the pitcher, I'm guessing there are some other guys who probably have better stats. It certainly feels like the Padres are going up against a Cy Young candidate every-other night.

Maybe Freeman.

deGrom obviously. If he's healthy, he's starting. Taijuan Walker and Marcus Stroman have been fantastic and worthy, but I can't see all 3 of those guys getting the nod. Stroman has a bit more fanfare than does Walker so between those 2, I'd say Stroman gets in, even though Walker has been a tick better overall.
Nobody on offense deserves to be there.

Vladdy Guerrero is pretty much a lock. Marcus Semien seems like a sure thing as well, I would think. Actually I think the fans are voting him in at this point.

DeGrom is a lock, Stroman should definitely be there, not sure about Walker. Very hard to get 3 starters from the same staff in an All-Star game. Mets have been in first place for most of the season, you'd think someone from that lineup is an all-star, but maybe not.
