deGrom obviously. If he's healthy, he's starting. Taijuan Walker and Marcus Stroman have been fantastic and worthy, but I can't see all 3 of those guys getting the nod. Stroman has a bit more fanfare than does Walker so between those 2, I'd say Stroman gets in, even though Walker has been a tick better overall. Nobody on offense deserves to be there. DeGrom is a lock, Stroman should definitely be there, not sure about Walker. Very hard to get 3 starters from the same staff in an All-Star game. Mets have been in first place for most of the season, you'd think someone from that lineup is an all-star, but maybe not. Walker has better overall numbers but Stroman is a more well-known commodity. Both have been great, but I agree that you won't see 3 guys from that staff on the ASG. Their lineup has been so devastated with injuries, but they have been winning on the strength of their pitching staff (which has been brilliant top to almost bottom, with David Peterson and Joey Lucchesi being inconsistent, at best), and their defense which has been unreal. For all of Lindor's struggles at the plate, he has been the best defensive shortstop the Mets have had since Rey Ordonez. Jonathan Villar has been starting in place of JD Davis and he is a vastly superior defender. James McCann has been awesome behind the plate, and the supersubs in the outfield have all been solid. It will be interesting when guys McNeil, Conforto and Davis return because they all provide much more offense, but none of them are great defensively. We'll see.

Batters: Tim Anderson Maybe Jose Abreu Everyone else is injured. Pitchers: Carlos Rodon Lance Lynn Liam Hendricks Now that Rendon got his big contract, and he's awful this year, I think the title for most underappreciated player in MLB right now has to be Lance Lynn. The fact that he has only made one ASG in his career is somewhat baffling to me. He's one of the best pitchers in the AL and he's a steal at $9.3m this year. Just because I was curious, according to Spotrac, Lynn is the 121st highest paid player (49th among pitchers) in MLB right now, behind the likes of Michael Pineda, Noah Syndergaard (who hasn't pitched in 2 years) and the board's favorite woman beater, Odubel Herrera. I'd say Lynn is probably not the 49th best pitcher in baseball right now.

deGrom should be Starting for the NL. You know what's funny? He was hurt the other night against Chicago and you could kinda tell because he was "down" to 99 on his fastball and someone I never heard of worked a 10-pitch AB before striking out. He struck out 8 of the 9 batters he faced in 3 perfect innings. While hurt. I mean, it sucks that he's hurt, and the Mets would be idiots to not sit him down for 10 days, but it's just laughable how much better he is than everyone else at this point.

Best Pitcher in the league right now for sure if only the Mets could give him proper run support on a constant basis. And yeah he should be rested if not 100%

He's like Brendan Fraser from The Scout, but without the emotional baggage.

Even being a first place team, there is no one Mets hitter stands out among the bunch. Unbelievable. The Mets team is all about pitching. Stroman has been outstanding. As much I am not a Edwin Diaz fan, he is doing quite well this season. He should get consideration for the All-Star team. What can I say about deGrom. Unless injury gets in the way, I'll be chanting MVP, MVP, MVP.

Batters: Tim Anderson Maybe Jose Abreu Everyone else is injured. Pitchers: Carlos Rodon Lance Lynn Liam Hendricks I love Abreu, but he's probably on the outside looking in. Vlad Jr. is the starter, far and away, but then you have Matt Olson, Jared Walsh and Yuli Gurriel all having great years. Jonathan Schoop and Abreu are fairly close in terms of numbers (other than RBI) and Detroit is going to have send someone to Denver, unless Akil Badoo (or however you spell it) gets the nod.

Ronald Acuna is imo the only sure fire Brave to make it. Freeman is having a lackluster year so I'd be kind of surprised if he made it. Ozzie Albies is possible given the star power at 2nd base.
