I wonder if the plan is for Supergirl to replace Superman.

Now isn't the time for a Supergirl movie. We're in a weird transition period inbetween the Snyderverse and something else that is half Snyderverse and half nobody knows. This has bad idea written all over it. She should've been introduced in a Superman sequel.

I wonder if the plan is for Supergirl to replace Superman. It wouldn't surprise me.

Did they already cast an actress for supergirl? Yes, they announced that Sasha Calle is playing her.

That doesn't look anything like Supergirl. Wasn't she always a white girl with long blonde hair?

Not the best costume in my opinion the one they have in the tv show is far better Well that's certainly underwhelming. DCEU is normally pretty good as far as costumes go but this is pretty darn ugly. The TV series costume is way better. In fact, this doesn't look like Supergirl at all.

Why would they go with that Supergirl over the one most people are familiar with?

Why would they go with that Supergirl over the one most people are familiar with? I don’t know if she’s supposed to be that Supergirl. They just seem to be basing her appearance on that one.

Truth be told most superhero costumes look a bit shit during production. This is no difference. Although the TV series Supergirl looks infinitely better for now than this Kryptonian Michelle Rodriguez.

Truth be told most superhero costumes look a bit shit during production. This is no difference. Although the TV series Supergirl looks infinitely better for now than this Kryptonian Michelle Rodriguez. While movie costumes do look a bit frumpy in set pics, you can still usually tell when a design is bad. I've seen Melissa Benoist in person in her costume, it looks nowhere near as bad as this version. vs. Even if we don't take the fabric and texture of the suit into consideration, there's already a number of issues we can immediately point out. Like how the abs contouring doesn't look like any natural abs, and how the hips seem to be overly high, or how the shoulders look like their sloped forward and clamping down the chest, or how there's noticeable lack of red on her legs. I'm sure it will look better in the actual movie/trailer, but that still doesn't mean the design is actually good. It's a bit surprising since costume designs is usually one of the things that DCEU movies are good at. Then again, the new costumes in SS2 are horrible so who knows.

I think it’s too late for that, Barbara. “...Barbara Muschietti shared a post to her Instagram story, urging the “Flash community” to “not share photos of Sasha Calle filming in her supergirl costume on set.” The post claims this will “make the first official photo of her as Supergirl that more special.” screenrant.com/flash-movie-producer-supergirl-set-photos-leak-response/
