Between Bill Maher and Ricky Gervais, I wonder which “leftist” hates transgender people more? I don't think either hate transgender people. They hate what they see some of them doing and advocating for and the overly woke left advocating for on their behalf.

Ricky Gervais went on a pretty nasty rant about transgender women a few weeks before he most recently hosted the Golden Globes, and instead of apologizing, he made fun of the people who got offended. As for Bill Maher, he’s made it pretty clear that he sees trans right as a joke. All in all, despite his claims that he’s a “liberal”, Maher aligns far more with Republicans than Democrats on a lot of key issues.

The joke about Psycho I don't see as having anything to do with disliking trans people though by itself and I agree with his point in regards to movie warnings. I agree with both on many things, but not everything. I guess I just haven't seen them talking about it in a way I necessarily disagree with, though I am certainly for trans rights. If you can point me to a specific videos I will watch them and judge for myself.

Bill Maher is unbearably smug. That I might agree with, but his opposition comes off as equally if not more smug.

Maher has made some belittling statements about trans issues in the past. In general, he’s made it clear that he thinks Democrats are wasting their time with that stuff. www.google.com/amp/s/decider.com/2019/10/26/bill-maher-slams-elizabeth-warren-dems-for-not-getting-binary-politics-commit-a-crime-and-your-new-vagina-is-free/amp/To be clear, I wouldn't say that I’m personally outraged about Bill Maher. I just think it’s apparent that for someone who identifies as a liberal, many of his opinions are shared by conservatives.

I don’t know if I’d call myself a big champion of transgender rights. I’m not much of an activist in general. It’s not so much that I don’t care for these issues at all, but more that I don’t think I’m passionate or bold enough to take a strong stand in support of these issues. Still, if I were transgender, I’d be pretty offended by Gervais’ rant. www.google.com/amp/s/www.indiewire.com/2019/12/ricky-gervais-goes-on-transphobic-twitter-rant-sparked-by-j-k-rowling-1202198933/amp/

Maher is not much different from Tucker Carlson. They use a little truth to tell a lie. Carlson is very good at it.
So when the election fraud happened he claimed it was because the NRA was suppressed from getting out the vote. And he tried to egg Trump into attacking antifa in the summer which is exactly what Democrats wanted. The Bezmenov theory was that they use people--media whores--who will with angelic faces tell you a lie. That's Carlson. He works for a company that is controlled opposition. And Maher does too. They tell a lie but they are good at wrapping it in a package that sounds right. Maher blames millenials for everything.
He doesn't blame the boss who funds the propaganda. Both Maher and Carlson peddle the idea that there is an ideological shift in the young against common sense and towards communism. That is what controlled opposition is supposed to do.

I mean sometimes the trans community create problems that make people not want to support them.

Yes, I would never just assume all of it is truth. they are always a mixture of truth and bias/propaganda. I don't trust much of anything in general.

Maher would be offering good advice if he said there needs to be new companies offering alternatives. But he cant and wont say that because he works for one of the monopoly companies.
He says millenials are the problem--that they demand and get supplied. We know that is total bs. Millenials are not asking for Lethal Weapon 5 or Halloween remake 3 or a black King Arthur.

Neither does Carlson. Because they work for them! So their job is to vent a little truth--mocking these commie-style movie warnings-and avoid the big picture. The companies that employ them.

I don't think he said it with the sole intent to be offensive, he was stating his opinion and if people are offended by it, "tough shit."
