one of Arnold's last real hits. The movie is nothing special but delivers the action you expect and Arnold is in top form. The cast is filled to the brim with "That guy" actors including James Caan as a slimy villain

Eraser was the last great Schwarzenegger action movie. A classic 90s actioner with some solid stunt work.
James Caan was a decent a villain and Arnold was his usual badass self.
After this movie, Schwarzenegger's career started to mellow down.

I always liked this one, even if it was a lesser entry. Vanessa Williams was perhaps his best looking leading lady, and James Coburn was a treat in one of his final roles.

The only thing I remember about this movie is the cool trails made by the rail gun bullets.

The government conspiracy elements are kind of dull, but I did like how it’s interrupted by the most amusing set pieces whether it be the alligator fight, the parachute scene, or when Schwarzenegger hides out in a gay nightclub. Vanessa Williams looked gorgeous in this.

I tend to agree that Eraser was Arnie's last great action film (well, with the possible exception of End Of Days which I admit I liked). It's very entertaining if you're willing to suspend A LOT of belief. Exceptional performance by James Caan as the main baddie, about as evil as they get.

6/10 - Good, but not something I re-watch as often, as my favorite Arnold 80s and 90s films.
Always wanted to love it as much as his earlier 90s releases. But something always felt a little "off" with this one. Not sure if it is the lame one-liners, the generic sounding soundtrack/score or some very forgettable villains. However Robert Pastorelli puts in a pretty amusing sidekick performance. But for me, True Lies will always be Arnie's last great action film. Eraser is not bad, but quite a drop in quality, at least compared to Total Recall, Kindergarten Cop, T2, Last Action Hero and True Lies.

Eraser, that was a good one. I've always kind of associated it with Speed, even though the storylines are pretty different.

It's a crappy VOD/straight to blu-ray movie. It really doesn't matter.
