I can't believe that this isn't an SNL parody or something. I think this will wind up rivaling Plan 9 From Outer Space in terms of unintentional hilarity.

Coke Daniels? That sounds like the name of a drug dealer or rapper.
He previously directed a movie called "Parking Lot Pimpin'".

Is it a homage to Karen Black?
She's the first Karen of horror that I think of.

Ah, a horror thriller about Karens. Seems like the obvious thing to do.

It's unfortunate, worse than unfortunate, that the arts and media, and especially the press and their movie critics, have been a part of the mob for over 50 years, and they have brainwashed many people into being a new Nazi movement.
The brainwashing was intentional from the start. I was there. I saw it. The mob preached that one "Karen" is the bully against a "lynch mob". No person with an IQ over 39 could buy into it, but it sure sold. People like being part of a mob. And when the mob preaches that it's legitimate, it's easy for a mob to go through textbook "rationalization" and "projection" to project that the Karen is the terrorist, and that they're terrorizing of the Karen is simply the Karen projecting. That's textbook "projection" from each member of the "lynch mob".
It's "safe", it's "sanctioned", it's "simple", it's acceptable, to believe whatever you want to believe about any one person. And according to Western culture, it's okay to join in the terrorizing of one person if you're in the majority, and project that the one person is a "Karen".
Not sure which direction the movie is going, but the trailer sure makes it look like mob mentality being rationalized through "projection". Maybe the movie does a turn around near the end and shows how the lynch mob is actually the bully projecting hate onto a Karen.
In short, you'd have to be a mental midget to buy into the idea of a solitary person bullying a group of people.

It kinda reminds me of the movie Will Ferrell did for LifeTime several years ago. It was intentionally bad, but they played it straight as a choice.

It's unfortunate, worse than unfortunate, that the arts and media, and especially the press and their movie critics, have been a part of the mob for over 50 years, and they have brainwashed many people into being a new Nazi movement. The brainwashing was intentional from the start. I don't think it is a mob mentality. That implies the majority is behind the message--that is not true.
I doubt most people of any background are sitting around thinking of Karens.
The film companies are close to 100% controlled by one small group--and even companies like Sony--if you check their production executives--the top people are not Japanese. There was a film guy from India who went to Hollywood and he said he was shut out.
If you don't have the same values and outlook of the small group of owners you are not getting access.
Can't be compared to Germany in the 30s--because they only did a handful of fiction films that had stated social policy messages. They did one or two on jews, they did one on euthanasia, one on South Africa. The rest were comedies or films about mountain climbing or Heidi-type stories.
I don't think the Hollywood brainwashing is intentional -I don't think it is a scheme.
I think it merely reflects the desires and tastes of the owners-and over time, western film companies lost their middle management--usually European American folk--and it just reflects this increasingly myopic and non-diverse POV. And yes-it does function as agitprop but I don't think there is a master plan behind it. Although it certainly does seem like manipulations have happened to shut out competition. That was probably malicious or at least very selfish.
But it's a natural thing.
If you have a watering hole in the jungle and all the animals use it-and one day a particular group of animals has dominance over it-either by some flukey chance or some behavior trait that allows for it, there will be less access for the other ones. And they will be more thirsty.
And that's what happened with movies. Technology aided in the situation because it allowed companies to merge and operate without much physical demands-and so it allows for more centralized control.
Film cant improve until that stranglehold is loosened and I don't know how that can happen.

The one with Kristen Wiig, right? Yep, "A Deadly Adoption". They played it so straight many didn't even realize that was the joke.
