I had to raise prices at my bakery. And from some I'll get "you're not charging enough", while a select few will say "I paid such & such last year, why is it so much higher?" First I take a deep breath(and wonder why business 101 is not a requirement in school) & say I only raised it from $23 to $24, & it's because just like you, my costs have gone up. Amazing how some don't get that if costs go up, so must the retail price.

That would make sense, given that the price of meat has skyrocketed, over the last few weeks. Aye... and don't forget labor costs, and rent, taxes, insurance, and a whole host of other things that've gone up in price. "There's no such thing as a free lunch" is truer now than it ever was.
