Absolutely LOVED Nobody. Its a must for any action / revenge flick lover.
Its not As sleek as Wick but thats ok, its simply different.
But its SO MUCH FUN. Bob Odenkrik has outdone himself, trained for 2 years apparently.
I loved the directors (Ilya Naischuller) previous movie Hardcore Henry so I knew he was very capable and Nobody confirmed him as a very interesting director to follow.
Great use of music too.
And I was really fooled by the black actors (Araya Mengesha) russian, apparently he is Canadian - but had the director as an accent coach. What a great character Pavel was. His scene were some of the best ones, especially the one by the car. Awesome. Almost Tarantino-esque. And Christopher Lloyd was Such delight too!
Its a must on a Large screen though. If you have a chance pls see it at the cinema. I will for sure be seeing it again.
What did you think, did you enjoy this movie? Tell me all!
Ps: now all we need is a crossover between the John Wick and Nobody universe. Thats a wet dream worth having.

I found it to be a rather poor imitation of John Wick. It lacks Wick's self-awareness, the world building and the amazing slick action choreography. Wick actually has fun with it's rather generic plotline. Also, Keanu Reeves is one of the greatest action stars of all time, IMO. Few action stars can compete with him.
It's written by the same guy but just seemed like a poor knock off of Wick.
I absolutely hated Naishuller's headache inducing shaky cam crap Hardcore Henry. He's no match for Chad Stahelki's brilliance.

This movie was actually trying to be more funny than I realized and yet I never really found myself laughing that much except for that one scene where he recounts seeing that target who turned out to be a family man and said "motherfucker!"

Sure you can draw paralels, both have an assasin coming out of retirement in the center BUT, where John Wick is the reluctant violance hating “hero”, Nobody is cherishing each minute he can be skull bashing and stabbing people. To me this was an important difference. also, Nobody didnt try so hard to be sexy and sleek, it wasnt supposed to be As fashionable. You can see that also in the way Nobody was getting hurt himself quite a lot. Hardcore Henry is not for everybody, I know...

I loved how tongue in cheek Nobody turned out to be. Then again, I've been a Bob Odenkirk fan ever since Mr. Show. Also, Hardcore Henry was a blast of ridiculous fun.

Well, I found JW to be far more enjoyable and better shot and Reeves is better at action than Odenkirk. Nobody did nothing for me.

I get what you are sayiny However for me the fakt Odenkirk cannot physically pull off the same level of physical work as Keanu actually made it very interesting because he didnt really look the part and struggled throught it more so in a way it was very enticing to watch for that reason. not that I didnt Love Wicks ballet, he is masterful of course, but Nobody brought a new fragility to the genre and I appreciated it. Fragile and blood thirsty at the same time - I guess thats the way to my heart )

7/10. It's a fun quick sit and Bob Odenkirk is better than I thought in the part.
