You know how at least sometimes they can be kinda too self aware right? It is a problem no? Like for example in the trailer for ant -man. The line said, could we do something about the name though?
Because what i'm saying is the older superhero films didn't do that at all. If i reckon correctly. They'd have stuff in batman where the joker says, do i look like i'm joking. And then she said, well sort of... Or when , in batman, the joker says 'nice outfit'. Or the part in Rocketeer where he said ' you look like a hood ornament.'
So they had the humorous parts, but they were never self aware or anything.
I'm pretty sure i made myself clear, but not 100% sure.

It's called self-referential humor, or metahumor.
Anyway, it's been a running gag both times involving Doctor Strange:

Christopher Reeve would be 69 years old if he hadn't fallen from that horse.
Anyone wants a superhero he's the one.
I hate todays conflicted, brooding, self-loathing, narcissistic, sexually confused, woke, pussy piece of shit "heroes".

Here's another one: "The city is flying, we're fighting an army of robots...and I have a bow and arrow, none of this makes sense."

I'm saying, if they continue to do this type of humor in these films, at some point it's gonna become a problem. It will make the films less good. Hear me now, and believe me later.

Just come back from seeing Black Widow. There is a running gaga where her sister questions/takes the piss out of Natasha's superhero pose
