That kid was a mutant. You could tell by his mutant face. And Logan (the movie) says that pretty much all the mutants are dead. You hear it on the radio towards the beginning of the film. He's not a mutant. The kid that played him looks exactly like that in real life. There wasn't any make-up on him. No, it doesn't. It says that mutants are not being born. It says that mutants are a thing of the past. As in, they're not really around anymore. The few that exist are in hiding (as we see in the movie). And he is a mutant. They weren't being cute there. He was executed for being a mutant. He's even credited as "Young Mutant Scavenger." He's a mutant. It's a continuity issue. Accept it.

So that point is moot. Credits are non-canon. Its not a continuity but a retcon.

There were hundreds of millions of mutants. You're reaching. Stated where? And that number is nothing compared to the world population. In the movies. But I'll try to meet you halfway. Let's say there are 5 different classes of mutants (idea introduced in TLS). Class 1: Carries the x-gene, but is indistinguishable from normal humans. Class 2: Carries the x-gene, and has some sort of physical abnormality that makes them appear different. Class 3: Carries the x-gene, and has some sort of mutation gives them a distinct survival advantage (such as a healing-factor or shape-shifting abilities). Class 4: Carries the x-gene, and has an ability that could be considered a WMD. Class 5: Carries the x-gene, and has godlike abilities. I think that covers the variety of mutants that we've seen. The guy from DoFP is at least a Class 2 ('cause he's got a messed up face) mutant. So maybe the types of mutants that haven't been born in 25 years are Classes 3-5 (the ones that the movies mainly focus on in the first place). Still doesn't explain Caliban though. Or how the significant number of other mutants disappeared (or died out).

That's a good indicator that he was a mutant. He was also based on Nate Grey.

The Transigen Project had to be in progress way longer than 25 years, since it would take many years to poison the entire planet. It likely started happening after the events of Apocalypse for obvious reasons. People had only started founding out about mutants in 1975, so there was never a significant number of mutants in the new timeline.

The kid has that hair style in real life even before the movie and he seems to have poliosis.

The general public started finding out about mutants in 1973 when Mystique was outed in Paris. I think that was suppose to be earlier than the OT. They said that they put that stuff in corn. Since corn is in everything it wouldn't take long to sterilize the X-gene in virtually everyone.

Not if you make it a concerted effort. Put it in all the pesticides and fertilizer. Also, you are only going to the places that grow corn. It's the stuff we make from corn that you have to get out to the people. And since corn is in everything (especially in the U.S.) it would get to almost everyone really fast. It's the same thing they did on Agents of SHIELD last season when the terrigen crystals got into the water and into fish. It made it's way to fish oil and that spread around within months. Another example is Batman '89 when Joker put Smile-X in all the hygienic products.

It would take a lot resources for one company to accomplish global gene therapy.

The kid has that hair style in real life even before the movie and he seems to have poliosis. So you are saying that kid: Isn't suppose to be this guy. This is an awfully big coincidence to have in an X-men movie that has the same character looks in the comics... That's like saying that's not suppose to be Cyclops because the actor has an eye condition in real life. Or that's not Jean because the actress has a skin condition that makes her burst into bird shaped flames once in a while. Either the kid won some kind of contest to be in the movie or that is suppose to be an Easter Egg for Nate Grey.

All they'd have to do is have someone in the government to get it through. Someone like a Graydon Creed-type. Since a lot of things are made from corn across the board, they can get a lot of people with a lot of products. People keep using their same usual products, eating the same foods, they'll get affected and sterilized of the X-gene. And it also depends on how potent it is. It could attack the X-gene really quickly without any harm to the person besides.

People generally fall into two camps regarding Logan's continuity: 1. It's part of the DoFP continuity. 2. It's just a standalone movie that acts as more of a "true story" set apart from the "fictionalized stories" that we saw in the other movies. I understand that James Mangold has paid lip-service to the idea of Option 1, but Jackman himself kinda contradicted that. Plus, the movie itself brings up further continuity issues (such as Caliban not really aging and having completely new accent when compared to his appearance in Apocalypse, and the fact that we saw young mutants in the future ending of DoFP when Logan tries to tell us that no mutants have been born in 25 years). So I tend to agree with Option 2. What say you? I think it is yes but it can also be in the original timeline as well. Or maybe it is just a standalone.
