I think Fassbender would make an awesome Romulan. I can see him as a very cool, very collected kind of guy, smart as hell. The kind who thinks of situations like it's some chess game, and plots five moves ahead.
Said it before - I'm sick of "I must get revenge!" from villains. Give me a villain who isn't really a villain at all - give me somebody who is as smart as Kirk, who is a supreme professional who genuinely believes in what he does, and just happens to be on the other side. The kind who respects Kirk and his abilities, and even kind of likes him - but will do anything and everything he can to defeat him, because that's what a pro does.
