liberalism was born out of the enlightenment, a key tenet of it, is that one's personal expectations (aka a delusion) are a form of truth. thus, as a liberal creates these personal expectations (aka a delusion) they cannot be guilty as they are the judge so to speak of these 'unwritten rules' (their delusions).
