Playing more than one person in the same movie in recent decades is not uncommon. But going back to the "Classic Film" era I think it's relatively rare. So, I'm trying to compile a list of such movies. By "classic", I'm drawing the line at Hollywood movies made before 1967. The movies can be where an actor played twins, like Bette Davis in A Stolen Life and Dead Ringer. Or an actor in more than one role, like Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove, or Frank Morgan (and some others) in The Wizard Of Oz. Are there all that many examples? More than, say, two dozen? I don't know. (I can think of a couple more as I write). What others are there to list?

I feel safe in guessing there are well over two dozen. Some come to mind off the top of my head:
George Arliss - The House Of Rothschild Robert Young - Honolulu Conrad Veidt - Nazi Agent Judy Garland - Little Nellie Kelly Olivia deHavilland - Dark Mirror John Lund - To Each His Own
And as it happens, I was watching Brian DePalma's Obsession only last night, in which Genevieve Bujold does double duty. EDIT: Forgot about your '67 cutoff date; this one was released in '76.

Danny Kaye did this throughout his career. Apparently Sam Goldwyn thought it was a good device to exploit Kaye’s comic Rufus character and still present him as a leading man.
KNOCK ON WOOD - Kaye plays three characters - Jerry MORGAN, Papa MORGAN and CLARence
On thé Riviera - Entertainer jack MORGAN and Look alike flyer Henri Duran
Wonder Man - Edward Dingle, and boxer Buzzy ballou

The Corsican Brothers / Gregory Ratoff (1941). A fine performance from Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. who plays twin brothers, one a jolly swashbuckler, the other a brooding, moody man who experiences the pains and emotions of his older sibling.
