So, who will England have to meet in the Final?
IMO Italy, although they may have some injuries to key players. The excellent Spinozza is definitely out which is a pity. I like the Italian midfield which is led by Jorginho and their fast-paced attackers, notably Insigne, Immobile and Chiesa. Spain have been inconsistent but persistent. I would pick Moreno ahead of Morata but I doubt that Enrique will agree with me
Italy 3-2

I don't know, but I'm excited to see this game. Great rivalry between the two nations.

I remember that Spain and Italy played for the title in 2012 and that Spain won. What I didn’t remember was the score: 4-0 to Spain. That must have hurt!

Spain is impressive in moving the ball about but looks shot-shy. Olmo is more of a winger than a striker. Enrique may bring on Moreno. The Italian central defenders are teammates of Morata and I assume that is why he's not playing. The Italian midfield are not getting enough of the ball to feed their strikers and Insigne is unusually quiet...so far

Both teams pressed admirably off the ball in the first half to create a high-tempo, technical chess match, with neither team allowing their opponent to find their rhythm. It's poised on a knife-edge; with two intense managers feeling the pressure on the sideline, this is exactly the kind of football game I enjoy watching.

Decent half. Reasonably good atmosphere too. Assuming crowd noise not artificially inflated.

I think they pumped in a few groans from time to time.

Spain smothering Italy in the first half. Italy with a couple of breakaways and getting the nutty Spanish keeper doing crazy things, anything can happen.

This is reminding me of the 2006 WC semi between Italy and Germany, which was goalless until the 119th minute.
Tonight's game is not quite as exciting but not far behind.
I typed that before Italy scored!

A breakaway goal was always on the cards with the sharp Italian strikers

It's been building, hitting the post on an off-side chance, hitting the crossbar ... and the goal comes from Federico Chiesa as Italy take it all the way up the pitch. Italians play football like opera, matchplay that builds and builds, with waves of melodrama, toward the grand crescendo.
Now Spain must answer.

Honestly can't see England, or Denmark, having a chance against either of these two.

Quick, neat, tidy interplay sees Spain advance up the pitch and cut a scythe through the heart of Italy's defense. Alvaro Morata scores. Ole!
Who dares wins ...
