Pet Sematary is my favorite Stephen King novel, and Hollywood has yet to get it right. Maybe someday.

1989 is so damn much better. I felt nothing for the remake.

The fact that most people seem to genuinely believe the 1989 film is better is mind-blowing to me. I can't speak for everyone, but it's better to me just because the remake somehow failed to improve upon it.

1989 version by a wide margin.
It's a deeply unsettling film with a disturbing premise handsomely executed, boasting some terrifying imagery (think Zelda) and permeated by an a all-consuming sense of dread.
