I hate the anthem booing. English fans seem to do that ever single time. Makes them look so small … bet the English players hate it.

The booing is repugnant but lots of fanbases have been doing it, Italy included (vs Spain comes to mind). Every fanbase has its nasty elements.

I hate the anthem booing. English fans seem to do that ever single time. Makes them look so small … bet the English players hate it. I don't like it, but the football mentality is that it is a war about to start and anything that will upset the opposition, including taking the piss out of grizzling kids is fair game. people who don't get that don't "get" football or it's working class supporers.
