An "ear worm" is a piece of music, either instrumental or vocal, that sticks in your mind and hates to let go.
Movies and TV shows are ripe fodder for ear worms, be it incidental background music in such classics as GWTW, or BEN HUR, or individual songs from movie musicals. But, IMO, it's TV themes that are the worst "offenders". Try as I might, I just can't shake WAGON TRAIN or THE BRADY BUNCH from my memory!
Does anybody out there in Cyberland know of a particularly pesky ear worm?

I would never think of inflicting my ear worms on anyone else. Just naming one can make it contagious, you know.

Thank you for Not naming the worst offenders. Just saying earworm gets them started.

I thought this discussion was going to be about Earwigs or "Kahn Worms"...
All creepy and disgusting creatures that can crawl into people's ears.

I like to watch dance sequences from films, and some Broadway shows, that are conveniently isolated for presentation on YouTube, and other streaming services. This often results in a worm attack which can last a couple of days. If the musical number includes lyrics, that's even more certain to drive me crazy. Why don't I stop watching them?
