I felt it in SF, but it was just a gentle sway, here.

She's posted on General Discussion, today. The quake in the central valley, was pretty strong. Hope she checks in soon.

divtal and nutsberryfarm 🏜Thank you for your kind concern. I did not know there were faults in the valley floor so near me. That bothered me the most. We had a good shake at a few minutes to 4 pm. I can't believe you felt it in the Bay area, Divtal! It really shook! I had vertigo all day. I shouldn't complain. Our temps are to be over 110 for three days. That's been the concern here. But the quake shook everything up. lol thank you!!

Quakes are not good for one's state of mind, or nervous system. So, of course you should complain! Glad that you folks are OK. The heat wave is supposed to be considerable, even along the coast. However, I heard one report of 2 possible rain storms for next week. Rain in July? Now that's climate change. Take care.

Divtal: I'm glad you're ok ,I hope it didn't bother your daughter too much. I've only experienced 2 small quakes, both in the Illinois/Indiana area (New Madrid Fault). Once was when I was still living at home with my parents in the 60's, I thought my Dad was doing something in the basement at first but it did feel weird and the patio off of the French Doors in the Living Room sunk about 2 ft. In the 80's, my husband and I were in the den, I was sitting on the floor when suddenly the birds got real quiet and I heard a low rumble (thought the furnace came on in the summer) then it felt like the floor was jello.
One day I imagine that area will get a bad quake, the New Madrid fault did change the course of the Mississippi River a few centuries ago.

My daughter slept right through it. My phone started blasting an alert so I jumped up, but it didn't bother her . Thank you for your concern The noise is odd too. Unnerving
