This could be interesting. I saw the remake in theaters I think close to 9:00 at night because the theater only had that time. I remembered waiting outside of the theater to see it and one guy who was there with his girlfriend or something asked if I was there to see it. Told him I was and he asked what I heard about it. I told him that the bright colors were gone from the original and that the movie was over 2 hours. Apparently the original was one of their favorite movies and were really disappointed to hear this.
My feelings on the movie altogether were mixed. I think I liked it at first, but then the more I watched it the more I saw why people didn’t like it. It was longer than it needed to be and the extra stuff they added did nothing. I also really didn’t feel it should have been called Suspiria. I saw what Luca Guadagino was trying to do, but I don’t think he succeeded.
Original for me.

Never been much of a fan of the original. The remake is very creepy and Tilda Swinton's triple performance is quite something.

Does anyone know what the point of giving the twist away at the very beginning of the movie? Did they think the audience would be too stupid to figure that out later on?
